There's something about Autumn that makes it the ideal season to discover Roller Skating (trust us on this!). As the leaves begin to turn and it gets colder, there's no better time to lace up those skates and embark on a new hobby that will keep you active, energised, and smiling through the winter months.

A Community That’s Got Your Back
Our supportive community creates the perfect foundation for new skaters to learn. You'll find skaters of all levels ready to cheer you on, offer encouragement, and share tips that helped them when they were starting out.
We provide complete protective gear to keep you secure, plus our experienced team is always ready to guide you onto the rink and steady those inevitable first time wobbles.
Our skate teachers all recognise that everyone progresses at their own pace. Some students take to skating naturally, gliding with ease from the very first day, while others may need a little extra time to find their rhythm and that's completely fine—everyone is here to enjoy themselves!
Building Skills for Summer Skates
Honing your skills on our smooth, controlled indoor surface builds the confidence and technique you'll need to use skating outdoors at Pier Head during the summer months. Think of Autumn and Winter as your training season – by the time the warm weather returns, you'll be ready to take your new skills outdoors.
There's nothing quite like the feeling of skating along the waterfront on a beautiful summer day more confident in your abilities. There’s nothing more discouraging than getting a new pair of skates, eager to try them out outside, only to be stopped by a single twig or crack in the pavement you haven’t learned to navigate yet—it’s always a humbling experience to pay floor tax as soon as you put your skates on (we’ve all felt it!).
